drafting of the Turtle Islands Wildlife Sanctuary (TIWS)
Protected Area Management Plan in coordination with DENR Region

Finalized the
draft TIWS MOA on Phase in-Phase Out of turtle egg collection in
coordination with DENR Region 9

Assisted the DENR
Region 9 in the apprehension and filing of complaint against 19
Chinese fishers in violation of RA 9147. They were responsible
in killing of 176 marine turtles, mostly pre-adult and adult
green turtles. Presently, the Chinese fishers are in the
custody of the Chair of the Provincial Committee of Illegal
Entrants in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi

Drafted the MOA
with LGU of Lian, Batangas for the joint conservation and
protection of marine turtles in the coastal areas of Lian. The
MOA to be approved before the year ends.
